You forgot the world we live in now...
It will be a "man" in high heels that fell off the back.
Maybe you aren’t familiar with the super luxurious crew cab 1979 GMC Sierra Classic?Trucks quit being real trucks, when they made them 4 doors and made the interiors look like cars.
Trucks quit being real trucks, when they made them IFS and made the interiors look like Buck Rodger's rocket ship.
Ifs is the devil, put 4 hub assemblies in my 06 I had, 300$ a piece, both sides at a time, so after 2k in hubs along I got rid of itFixed it.
I don't even understand why that feature is necessary. To me, it's just another thing to break and they are over complicating an otherwise simple function. Do not want.I know this is not about our trucks but I had to share this to see what everyone thinks. I’m all for innovation and technology but things are getting out of hand. https://jalopnik.com/heres-exactly-how-the-2019-gmc-sierras-six-way-tailgate-1823447722/amp

Now that makes me think that trucks are turning into city slick vehicles or mall crawlers. Hell, i think my 2003 has too many accessories with dual climate control and push-button 4wd. What happened to trucks riding rough and being built for work not taking the kids to a soccer game and the truck never seeing more than a gravel parking lot.
Don’t forget higher repair costs on the new ones once the warranty is up.Bought a 2017 last year, it's nice, but honestly I'd much rather have my squarebody to daily drive, only thing the 17 has that I like better is fuel mileage

OK used to be the same way. If you were school age you had to have a work permit to be able to be an employee and you pretty much had to be 16 to get one unless you were doing agriculture work like picking fruits and veggies and not able to operate machinery like tractors etc. I too started working young by altering my birth certificate. Being I was from Cali and had just moved to OK, they didn't know any different since I didn't have a history in OK at any school. Started working at a Taco Bell at age 14 almost 15 as a 16yo almost 17. Taco Bell only hired at age 16 and up so I got over on them too.I didn't know you had to have a permit to work
That's a real truck with those options. All my later new trucks had all the creature comforts, adjustable pedals, 18 way power heated seats and all that ********. Driver memory for seat and pedal adjustments and stereo channel preferences. They were puzzy gitters not trucks. I'll have to admit it, they weren't trucks.I looked around for a long time before I bought my 2003- and I like it a lot. Vinyl floors. Crank windows. Manual seats. Manual locks. Manual transmission. Manual (stick) for the transfer case. Manual trailer towing mirrors. It has 1 ton rear suspension from the factory even though it is a 2500HD. It's taller than my square AND it has the 8.1L.
Not sure if you can order a "basic" truck like that anymore.
And because it doesn't have all the little gimicks on it I've had no issues with it either the last 9 years or so I've owned it.
