Hello, I have a 1978 Silverado that is getting ready for some TLC. I have questions regarding some things that I can do myself. I’ve done my research on different platforms but usually I’m still not quite sure on how to proceed. Currently I’m beginning on the weatherstripping. The truck was only 1 original owner and truck is in better shape than some its age. My question is regarding the installation of the cab and door. Do both require weatherstripping or does it go only on the cab? When I’ve gone on sites to order the weatherstripping it only shows for the cab. Anyone with some information on this issue your input would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you Eagle from California

Beware if you have a Suburban. I still can't find rear door WX strip that is thin enough to allow the doors to close fully.

Welcome from Austria. Cab and top of door. Top of door is often not used, the cab side weatherstrip is enough to keep the water out.
