Here's one almost the same green, I think it looks nice.
That’s a good looking truck. My oldest is 15 and he’s helping me with the rebuild or will when I get started anyway.Welcome from DFW Texas.. Love the truck and color.. enjoy the build. We are having a blast with ours.. not a show truck just a 16 year olds daily driver. The info here is fantastic and will save you many wrong turns so put it out there.. everyone here has something that will help you. E’s was blue when he got it at 14.. now its white……

You got 4 generations of family involved in the same truck? Tbh, the story is far more than the truck itself.Thank you everyone for the advice. To answer the questions. It is a inline 6, manual trans. It is a 2wd, the original hubcaps are hanging on the wall of my sons room. And yes the interior is also green.
That’s correct 4 generations. My grandfather bought it around 1980, second owner. Gave it to my dad in 1994-95. Who drove it until 2012 when I gave him a 1993 Cheyenne 4x4, because the cab floor was getting rough. He planned to rebuild it but never got to. I got it after he passed in 2020 and my son and I are gonna rebuild it together. 280,000 miles and the engine has never been apart. Dad was a mechanic so he took great care of the engine and drive train, body not so much. It still had the a receipt for a battery with my grandfathers signature on it in the glovebox. You got 4 generations of family involved in the same truck? Sounds like you and your boy need to decide the color and then get after it!
Pretty sure grandpa and great grandpa will love whatever choice you make!
Welcome from far west TEXAS!Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, any forum for that matter. I joined this forum because I am starting the rebuild process on my 1976 c/10 custom deluxe long bed. This truck originally belonged to my grandfather, when driving a manual got to hard for him he gave it to my father who drove it for years. I learned to drive in this truck and have many wonderful memories of it. I received this truck after losing my father in 2020 and now I am ready to start rebuilding it. It is in very bad shape and I’m in the planning phase right now. I’m conflicted as to what direction to go with my rebuild keep it original or customize it. Last week I spent a few days at the c10 nationals hoping to find my answers but left more conflicted. My primary issue is the color. The truck is single color willoway green. I didn’t particularly like the color and neither did my father, but I know this color was only made two years and I have only ever seen one truck this color. So I need suggestions, keep it willoway green or change the color? And keep it original or customize it?
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
