I'll try to take some pix from underneath in the near future. I need to get a winch controller cable because the person I bought if from didn't have it.

It's so clean because it came from Oregon. Only in Wisconsin for a few years from what I understand.....and stored indoors.

Ha! Why is everyone coming to Oregon to steal all our good squarebodies!! @Grit dog got his from down here too! Mine was purchased new from the dealer in Beaverton, OR in 1980 by the guy I bought it from.

Oregon has good stuff man!
Damn sure it didn't come from WI! It would have caught more rust virus just being near WI vehicles over the years, lol! We've seen the best WI has to offer, many times on here!

Living up here in western WA, OR also seems to be where the deals are. In the last half dozen years or so, the 86 K20, our son's 06 Mustang, my enclosed sled trailer, 1 snowbike and 1 snowmobile have all come from south of the Columbia River. And a couple more things would have, had I pulled the trigger or not missed out.

Apologies to OR residents......NOT. lol

lol, I'de honestly rather have people come get them and take care of them than see them rot away in someones back yard before going to the scrapper. For whatever reason they are everywhere out here and dirt cheap.

Hi y'all!
Love the forum! I've owned a couple other square's over the years.....an 85 3/4 ton rusty old plow truck.....a pretty nice 79 3/4 ton 2WD 454 burb.....but nothing as clean and original as this new one I just picked up right before Christmas. I've literally been looking for 6 months since I sold my 99 K2500 4x4 suburban. With a family of six, the burbs worked well for us. But now that most of the kids are grown up and moved out.....it was finally time for a nicer truck.

It's a 78 K25 454 T400 3.73 gears........with and original 51,000 miles! It came with a small block 400, but the original owner didn't like it, so he had the dealer put in a 454! It is super tight driving and well maintained.
I just finish oiling up the under carriage with the Carwell marine/military application rust preventitive so I can drive it in the winter months. It sat the last several years so I'm going through everything and correction small issues and routined maintenance. It has been stored indoors it's entire life!
I'm going to take care of this one!

I'll throw some more current pix up as these were from last year! lol!

Looking forward to meeting y'all!
Ron M.

Welcome aboard, and nice truck!
:waytogo:

I sure hope that rust proofing works as I hate to think after all this time the rust monster gets released...

Man that's a beauty. Looks a lot like my 80 K25 Sierra Classic. I really like the winch setup on that factory bumper, I've been thinking about doing the same thing. How is it mounted back behind the bumper?

I'm finally posting these pics of the whinch for ya!
