New to the forum. 8ft stepside

New to the forum from Ohio. How's everyone doing? So i have a 87 chevy v20 3/4 ton pickup 4spd 350 tbi which originally came with a 8ft step side bed. I know these beds are pretty rare and i can't find too much info on the bed. i have a fleet side on the truck now and want to sell the step side bed. the bed is very solid with only some surface rust but does need the wood floor replaced and has a few dents and some tears in some of the metal but overall is in good condition. my question is, does anyone have an idea what these are worth?

Howdy!

The value of them is very hard to judge. A very large part of the truck market does not want a long step (personally, I really like them) and won't have any interest at all. But there are going to be some people (weirdos like me I guess) that would want one, it just might take a while. Or someone might want it just for the fenders and tailgate, for their shortbed. Long story short, I'd put the value of it anywhere between 50 and 500 bucks.

Have any pictures of your truck, with either of the beds? Sounds really cool.

I paid 350 for mine, sounds about the same condition. All depends on who you find, personally I quite like them.

you are right, it will take a certain person who wants it, i will post some pictures soon, there is no bed on it currently because i just got done painting the frame and drivetrain and about to replace the cab corners. thanks for the reply !
