new to me 75 turn signal issue hlp

I just got a 75 k10 that has had some previous electrical work not by me. i had front turn signals, none in the back so i dropped the column because i was going to install a new key swith, and now i have NO turn signals at all. but the lights to come on when i turn on the head lights. i replaced the plastic turn signal indicator in the column, and no change. not sure where to look

Look at the long bus plug on the column where the ignition switch is. The turn signal plugs in the the same area. It may be loose or disconnected entirely.

Do you mean you changed the turn signal switch?

If so, do you still have the old one?

Seems like 75 and prior take a different switch and there is an adapter plug that allows the newer switch to be used with the old harness. I am wondering if you new switch is completely plugged in.

They quit working so that's why I changed the part

When I replaced the turn signal switch on my ‘75 the switch they gave me did not plug into my wiring correctly. The spacing of the flat plug’s terminals was a little off. I ended up using crimp connectors to put the old plug on the new switch and it worked fine.
