New to forum, 1987 GMC Dually

Hey all from Alberta Canada,

New to the forum. I've inherited the truck i grew up in. 1987 GMC Sierra Classic. EFI 454 Dually 4X4

120,000 original KM's, spent most it's life towing a cattle trailer. Spent the last 5 years parked due to leaking fuel tanks.
It's got some surface rust, but really solid otherwise. Interior is mint minus a cracked dash, AC even blows cold.

Recent work:
In the summer I replaced both fuel tanks and pumps, got it inspected and road worthy.

I'd like to slowly build this back to its former glory, as well as use it as a temporary tow rig till I've got the cash together for a diesel to fit all the kids in. (will take years sadly)

I'm basically searching for info on what to do to the truck/engine to make it the best tow'er it can be.
At this point i'm thinking headers and new exhaust, rebuild at some point?
