Ok probably a stupid question but when changing front rotors how tight does the spindle nut need to be

Ok probably a stupid question but when changing front rotors how tight does the spindle nut need to be


Torque to 12 ft-lbs while spinning the rotor, then loosen the nut slightly, and then re-tighten finger tight. If it doesn't line up with a castle nut slot, back it off until it does, never tighten it to line it up.
