Morning everyone,
My Grandfather just gifted me his 1983 C10 5.7l rwd Suburban. For its age I would consider it to be in very very good shape. Has around 146k miles. It just made a trip from SE Arkansas 800 Miles up thru the Pig Trail/Eureka Springs in NW Arkansas to SE Nebraska. Have to say I was surprised that it did not leak or burn any oil , or at least not enough to change the oil level. The temps never got over maybe 205ish and that was only during slowly going up the Pig trail up in the Ozark Mountains. Anyone that has has drove that road knows its very steep and curvy. I plan to fix a few things that need worked on and then using this as a nice camping rig for me and the wife.
Anyhow I look forward to picking people's brains on this Suburban. I will have a pretty good learning curve as I have never owned anything quite this old.
