Just got a new 86 c10 this week and wanted to join the square body community. Truck is an original paint and interior, 108 original miles, 305 th350 shortbed Silverado. Heavy build sheet. Copper canyon metallic with mahogany vinyl bench. 4/6 drop with alloy black and polished wheels, k&n filter, dual flows, new carb. New radiator, b&m shift kit, phantom 2 guage kit with custom dash insert, newer deck with 6 speakers. I am 3rd owner truck has sat for 2 years after last owner got 3rd dui. I flushed cooling system, pulled plugs and dropped some mystery oil in holes. Put 10 hallons of 91, changed fuel filter got new battery. Changed oil. Thing wont crank so on my day off next week ill pull starter and get new one in. Plan on bagging it on black 20s, putting a single din dvd and updating sound system. Light tint. Replace trim , light body work on few lil pings in the metal and a touch up respray

Welcome. My first thought about the engine was yank it. Anything is better than a 305 but with milage like that, i wouldnt touch it. Personally id sell it to someone who would keep it in the garage and take it out on nice days. Too nice of a truck for my situation but yours might be different. Im no pureist by any means, but that thing is too unmolested to cut up. Just my 2 cents.

Nice! If it was me, id sell it for big gain and use the cash for an old rat and lots of parts. Lol. Unless u have good storage and unlimited funds to buy said rat and parts, then id store it and take it out on nice days when i wasnt working on the rat. :D Something to be said for starting a project with a low milage truck tho. Could go either way:33:

Welcome, if the 305 runs keep it, if it's a lost cause go with the LS. Nice truck though! Send me that drop kit when you buy your bags :p
