Hello all, wife and I picked up a 1979 Scottsdale LWB as our new project. Runs and drives but needs to be checked out. 350sbc/TH350. Looking forward to bringing this one back to life. Its been sitting up for 10 years.

I don't think the hubcaps are original but maybe someone else knows. I think they are off a 1967-72.

It also has a weird aftermarket A/C setup on it. Haven't seen this type before, I will post more pics.

Welcome from Missouri.

Those hubcaps were used on squarebodies. My 76 C10 came with them. They wouldn’t have been stock on a 79, they had gone to a different style full wheel cover by then.

The ones used on the ‘action line’ trucks have a blue bow tie instead of the Ochre colored bow ties on the squarebodies.

Here is the aftermarket A/C I mentioned. Anyone seen this before and know the manufacturer? Its not working and I am going to remove it but if I could find an old installation manual or users guide on it would be helpful.

Thanks for the reply and information - that is really helpful.

Welcome to the world of 2 tone schitt colored trucks!
Looks like a beaut!
Looking at the 70s pamphlets those hubcaps were offered on squares.
79,77 pamphlets didn’t show them. 75 does, and apparently 76 according to @legopnuematic.

Look up Dezos garage, has all the old car brochures by year and model. Also GM Heritage Center has vehicle info kits for all our pickups (Chevy versions anyway). The latter is a like 100p document of ALL the pertinent specs.

The later style came out in '77.... I just sold the accessories brochure/catalog for that year but I took pics of it for posterity. Our '81 had the GMC version on it....The other picture shows the bumper guards.
