Hey gang,
Recently acquired a new (to me) 1991 Suburban 2500. Spent the first part of its life owned by a fire department in Washington state. Body and frame are in great shape. Previous owner added 6in lift, 35" tires, new exhaust, and claimed to have replaced the transmission a year ago (though I don't have any documentation on that). Engine is stock 350 with 144k miles. Interior is in decent shape for its age.
I'm planning to do some restoration of the interior--adding back 3rd row seat, replacing vinyl flooring, perhaps upgrading other worn parts. Engine-wise I need to get a good shakedown done to see what issues I might have, but for now it runs and drives great, though I already know I have some issues in the steering column and dash--need to replace turn signal lever, tilt lever, and shift indicator, plus parking brake light blinks and oil pressure gauge moves back and forth between 30 and pegged while driving.
Will continue to add pics and ask stupid questions of the collective wisdom on here. Appreciate any input!
