Hey all, new member. Story on my first square body. 85 silverado single cab long bed. Factory AC and HAD power windows and locks but the doors have been replaced to manual. I purchased in 2017 and immediately tore it apart to restore up. resealed the engine (305) transmission (turbo 350) fixed rust and painted the firewall. Reinstalled the engine and had it running again but then ended up using the motor in another project.. years go by and ended up getting a 350 motor for the other project so I finally got around to putting this one back in. Well in that time I had sold the bed with tailgate to my buddy and my ideas have changed. I could get another bed but never really liked the look of the single cab long beds so I’m planning on making it a flatbed for a work truck situation. As of now I have the driveline back in, the doors/fenders/hood (which have had the bodywork done since about 2017) mounted back on the truck and I’m to the point now where I am going to start the bodywork on the cab. I need to replace the door pins and set the gaps on the doors, fenders, and hood. And then I will start the bodywork. Sorry for long introduction but it’s what it is. Couple pictures, some dating back to 2017 the day I bought it and some when the driveline was back in the first time to present day 2023.
