Hello! New member here from western Nebraska. Slowly working my way through the forum. Lots of good info!
My son bought a rough ‘79 K25 a couple of years ago when he was fifteen. Been helping him work on it. Very rough body, every system needs work. But it’s fun to work on it with him. Blew up the 350, so he found a 400 to put in it. Rebuilt it, did all the work himself. Pretty proud papa moment. . Floors are gone, no straight panel to be found. We picked up a ‘77 K25 with a blown motor but incredibly solid body, all options (AC, cruise, power windows, etc) for $500 with the plan of swapping his 400 and giving him a better platform to build off. The motor was swinging from the hoist, over the engine bay, when changed his mind. Couldn’t go through with it. He loves his old “Bonnie” too much. Kids…. Lol
I stumbled on a ‘77 K10 a couple of weeks ago for what I thought was a good price. Been sitting for two + months in a tree row. Checked the fluids, pumped the heck out of her and kit the key… fired up and purred. Aired up the flats and drove it home. It’s going to be my project and play toy. It’s the green pickup in my avatar.
