welcome from Gippsland, VIC. I think we need an OZ sub- registry and / or meet sometime for all the members on this side of the "pond" ( at least the Eastern states ?.. )
FWIW have a good look at the conversion before putting it on the road. We recently got a roady on an OBD ( 1990 extra cab ), and had to "re-engineer" the steering, power steer lines, trans lines, cooling, dash wiring, air vents and hood release ( plus some other stuff )
yes it had a compliance plate, and yes it was a Roadworthy truck when we bought it. Interestingly, after we fixed the steering ( linkage ) and power set up, it drives like a "normal" truck - turning circle good etc. All this stuff about poor steering that you hear from time to time seems to be just because the converters did a **** job to start with.

Welcome, and it seems that the Aussie truck weathered time better then there American brothers. Very nice truck. Always wanted to ride my scoot across Australia, too old now.
