Yes, its like a manual without a clutch, and shifts are firm as hell since there is nothing soften or regulate the shift. Alot of drag racers use full manual vavle bodies. You get used to it very quick. But I wouldn't have a manual valve body trans wo a good ratchet shifter, like B&M Quicksilver or Megashifter.

And yes, they are very similar to the 400. In fact many 4L80-E part are backward copatible and will interchage with the 400. As the 4L60-E has many parts that are backwards compatible to the 700r4. The parastitic hp loss is the same also. All you really gain is the OD.

Nah, just been out of class for a week now. You'd think that now Id be on here more but since I have like an hour to waste between classes I always go to the netlab and get on here. But now I'm working more since I'm out of class, plus all the other seasonal famiy crap + bowl week and I just haven't been on much at all lol.
