I agree, all the hard work is done. Going to have to go through the 350 and change the cam. Owner doesn’t know anything about it other than it’s a solid cam. From my understanding it’s a lot less maintenance with a hydraulic.

I agree, all the hard work is done. Going to have to go through the 350 and change the cam. Owner doesn’t know anything about it other than it’s a solid cam. From my understanding it’s a lot less maintenance with a hydraulic.
Im not sure there.... ive never got too deep into any of that. Ive pulled motors apart and put a few easy things back together but other then that im lost on specs and such lol. Maybe someday...

Welcome badass truck a solid cam it’s good for higher rpm and will have a more aggressive profile. Don’t count it out adjusting valves isn’t that horrible and if you would change it go hydraulic roller. Less maintenance and worry free operation.

That is one sweet looking truck.
If You decide to keep the solid lifters and cam. I like to use a dial indicator to adjust the valve lash, much better and more accurate than a feeler gauge.
Feeler gauge bridges the worn spots on the rocker arm, where the valve stem rides, dial indicator takes that wear all in.

How often would you recommend adjusting valves? Will be my daily driver.
