Cool looking work truck, welcome from Houston, Texas. My dad always liked the '80 grille and headlights, and it's grown on me over the years since you don't see too many of them.

So now that I gotta chance to sit and do a lil typing, here’s a lil back story on the c10.

As I’ve said previously, it’s a1980 c10 with a 305 v-8 , turbo 350c, 3.08 gears in a 10bolt. This truck is very basic. No a/c, had just a am radio that’s been upgraded to a pioneer single DIN and 6x9’s behind the seat, manual brakes( believe the code is jb1 or jb3. I gotta look that up again)

I have upgraded the dueljet to a Amazon knock off quadrajet. Needs a lil tuning but runs pretty darn good.

My stepson got it for his 16th birthday from his grand father and he drove it for a couple yrs til he bought himself a 06 king ranch from his grand father. After that, he abandoned it and it has bounced around in the family for storage. I finally decided to get it back on the road due to my step daughter wanting to adopt the pickup I was driving as her first car.

So, now I’ve become a member on here to hopefully tap into all the knowledge of these trucks to help me work all the bugs out of it and due some upgrades. Some of those bugs and updates include left tank fuel level not working, power brake conversion, rear end upgrade( for better gears), a/c.

Sounds real similar to the '81 GMC Sierra we had at our parts store, but ours had AC and power brakes and steering. But 305 dualjet, auto trans, 3.08 longbed. It would do any work just as well as our older 350 longbed half ton trucks, including running 75-80 on I-45 with a load!
