New Guy !!!

Hey everyone new to the site, name is Chach and I am located in NW Ohio. I have a 83 C10 short bed Chevy that is a roller. I picked it up in Arkansas and I am currently working on getting a 97 Vortec 5.7 motor converted to carburetor to slap it in this truck. I will probably be asking what I need to make this happen. I have most of everything converted over just will probably need a bit a help. I have a 350 Turbo tranny or a 700R4. I will lean on the experts to ask which one do I put in. I am looking to get it running and just enjoy driving the truck. I have converted the intake over have an HEI distributor in it, putting shorty headers on the truck. I will take pics of what I have gong on to share where I am at. IF you experts can point me in the right direction this would be helpful. Thanks!

You say you have a 700r4 or a TH 350? Are you asking how to identify which? If you have both, the choice of which to use would depend on many factors, including tire size, gear ratio and engine torque.
