Hi everyone,
Im in the process of a refresh on my ‘84 stepside.
I ordered the truck new when I worked for the dealer in Oakland.
it was painted about 25 years ago, peeler. Got some rust spots now so it’s getting ready for paint again. Got it torn down and have been ordering parts, grille, medallions, rubber and lenses. The truck has 170k and the tranny was replaced at a 100k. A little blue smoke on the start up, guides, and leaks from at least the valve covers, to be addressed at a later date. Retro sounds with stock speakers. Other than that, bone stock. I’m a retired mechanic and enjoying having something to in these hard times.
