Me my son swapped the 700r4/np208 for an sm465/np205 from an 84 in the K5. Also, installed ramhorns and true dual exhaust.
So far with the 83 all I did was get it put together and sell the 15" rims and 35" tires. I found some 16.5 x 12 M/T classic 2s. Going to run 36" tires. For now keeping the 700r4/np208 combo.
