Well I finally got another Stepside. I had owned a '85 and got rid of it in '05 when I got a new Silverado. I have been missing it since. I started looking for another one a few years ago and got a real surprise when I saw the prices being asked for them, what happened? I even tried to hunt down my old one that I sold but it was long gone. So I bought one on Ebay, absolutely no rust, drive it anywhere. Well I got a bit of work to do but it aint too bad.
I have been going through the forums and have found a wealth of information. When I got the truck none of the gauges worked, I now have 3 working. The speedometer is next. I tried to post a pic but don't think it worked.

Cool truck! Welcome! The prices are going up pretty good on the nicer ones. You can still find a few running and driving project square pickups and Burbs in the Deep South for a good price, but that number is decreasing. I would say not so much the case on Blazers/Jimmies because they're harder to come by, at least in my neck of the woods. Hell, I shopped for two months for an unmolested 87-88 Jimmy in four-six different states and ended up driving seven hours to Nashville, TN to buy mine. I still shop, and I haven't found a Jimmy that l like quite as much (no bias, either), and I haven't been able to find one close to the price I paid for mine, which was only two years ago. Anyways, I digress. Squares are just getting harder to come by, I suppose.

I am in Clearwater, FL central west coast. The Truck will be a nice start. It felt so nice to get behind the wheel and take it for a ride. These trucks do drive nice when they are set up good. This one rides like a boat with the shocks worn out but still felt pretty good. Ordered some new Monroe shocks, should be in tomorrow. The truck does not have sway bars like my old one so I will need to check into that. The next thing I gotta work on is the Air Conditioning, I am in Florida and gotta have air around here in the summer.
