New guy here. Bought a 79 Long Bed a few days ago from a friend of mine. The truck has some back story and has been through a few owners the last 15 years or so, but i know everyone involved quite well with the exception of the original owner.
The truck was originally from Montana but after the original owner passed away his niece imported to Saskatchewan where her husband got it painted and dropped in a rebuilt 4 bolt main, bored 30 over 350 and basically drove it on Sundays. After that it was sold to a friend of mine who rarely ever drove it. He sold it to his nephew who never even pulled it out of his uncles garage and now i have it.
Its got pretty high miles (170,000 miles) but has been extremely well taken care of. The original owners service records were in the glove box and that guy was meticulous and anal about service.
It does need a few things as its been sitting under a cover for the last few years but I'm excited to get to it. Not many huge plans for now. Probably a small drop, new wheel/tires, fix some oil leaks, fix the cracked dash, etc. First i need to get the brakes working once i find a new master cylinder.
