Hey everybody! Well, after years of wanting an square body, it's finally the right time, and I convinced the boss!
A few weeks ago I brought home an original owner 78K10. In the process of a pretty deep (covid enabled) speed restoration. Descale/POR15 the frame, replacing cab floor, soundproofing, and exterior paint.
I'll drop a few pictures and videos here. I forsee (and already have) lots of small questions-would it be best for me to start a build thread and ask them there to avoid having a bunch of small posts? Or would the forum prefer I ask specific questions in the appropriate sub-section. I've been on plenty of forums, so I'll spend plenty of time searching before I ask, but just curious about preferred posting style on this forum. Glad to be here guys, looking forward to learning and sharing!
Loaded up and bringing it home:
Exhaust before-basic crimp mufflers that were burnt out and rattly:

Exhaust after- stock manifolds, 2.25" in, 2.5" out magnaflow Rumble, true dual. This seems to be a fairly new muffler, at least at my local store. Super cheap and great sound for budget builds:

Lastly-grille was missing the bowtie logo and I didn't want to drop the $$$ on a replacement, so I spent an evening in the woodshop:
