I didn’t do anything to the 5.3 I swapped in except intake and valve cover gaskets

Took the engine out of a wrecked 2002 with 271k miles on it and dropped it in

I did flip the fuel injection rail around so the hoses came off the passenger side

And the Vintage Air was very worthwhile

If to get a VA shop around
Rutters Rod Shop in NC had the best price by a significant amount
