Hey everyone!
Was just browsing the web the other day looking for accessories for my 86 Chevy K-20 Silverado and came across this website....awesome!
56 years old and wife with 4 kids, 4 grand children.
Was wanting to get a pick em up truck for times when I need to haul from the box stores or wherever and came across a 1976 Chevy C-10 Silverado in 80% restored condition. So I bought it with the sole intention of finish restoring and for the nostalgia of it.
I figured what the heck.
Then about 6 months later I'm driving down the road and I see this 86 Chevy K-20 in VERY GOOD condition and my eyes lit up like a kid seeing Santa.
Worked out the deal with the owner and now I'm a proud owner of this baby. This one I'm fixing up for to play with. He had his son build up the motor about 10,000 miles ago with a torquer cam and holly 4 bbl with headers and dual exhaust. The problem is, he doesn't know what he did to the internal part of the engine. Bore it out?, Heads???
So since the engine has some minor leakage I figured I would build it to a 383 Stroker and dress it all up.
I want about 375-400 hp and still be able to use regular gas in it. So i'll post another thread in the appropiate section to get some of your ideas.
Here's a couple of pics.
