hello from the frozen boulder!! winter has kicked in the door and booted summer out!!. Anybody got any hints or tricks to layin in a new MIP floor mat?? I thought the summer heat would help it relax but no such luck. 1987 GMC V2500 4x4. Gonna bring it inside before the snow really starts and try to get it installed. Been a busy late summer trying to get things ready for the snow. Thanks

I pre baked mine in the cab in the sun, it helped but not enough. I found that after getting it pretty close to where it needed to be that the judiscious use of a heat gun really got it to lay down and mold into place.

I tried that at 105 degrees this summer but no luck, guess I will be on the heat gun in the shop to get it laid out.

This is what I suggest. I had one a few years ago when I was making Kydex Holsters for Pistols, Mags, radios, ChewCans, stupid vapes, etc...
The thing had tons of uses... I'm pretty sure one of my budds absconded with it. I just need to remember who and get it back sometime. I think I'm going to end up doing some vinyl work in the future and I may need it for that.
