They usually slide out sometimes with a little coaxing but I take them out hole end first. Usually the carrier has self clearanced itself against the hardened cross pin making it easier to remove.try to work it back threw the other way if you can.here it is

Pinion shaft? Do you mean the cross shaft or did you chip the pinion?so once i get some advice on how to get that MF out of there, then i need to buy a new pinion shaft. so can anyone tell me what rear end this is so i order the right shaft?

You gotta get the pin out to release the c-clips and pull the axles to get the carrier out.at this point, how do i get the entire center stuff out to where i can take it to my vice and work on getting it out?
