New 1978 C10, here for tips n tricks

Hello and good morning,

I recently came upon a 1978 Silverado C10 Silverado, and purchased it for a daily driver(once i get it working steadily). I'm new to these older model trucks, but have a great understanding in how easy they are and cheap to maintain/fix.

Anyways, my name is James, I'm 37 and live in the Ardmore area of Alabama. Will be here for help and pictures on my journey to restore this truck for the foreseeable future.

Well so far this is what I know about the truck, still need to do some more research on the VIN. But it is a 1978 Chevy Silverado C20 Camper Custom, it has a 350 CI (replaced), odometer reads 26k(assuming it rolled over), nice long 8 ft bed. Was told it was an older gentleman's farm work truck, he was just using it to move grass cutting equipment around his perimeter fence. Will make a thread on all I plan to do and all I have done with pictures along my journey with her. Hope you enjoy the thread as much as I will enjoy learning about this baby.
