Does anyone have a 10 bolt housing they could mic for me? I'm trying to figure out the Diameter of the pinion on the housing. I'm trying to source a pinion seal. I know for fact that the O.D. of the new yoke shaft I have is 1.74", so that would be the inner diameter of the seal. All I need is an O.D. for the new seal, to see if they even make such an animal. This is a yoke I bought for my old 12 bolt. I had a hell of a time sourcing a seal for it too. They had to look it up in the book. I went to Oreillys today and had them pull a pinion seal for that year 10 bolt, and used the OD off it and tried to cross reference in the book that OD with my ID of 1.74 but no luck. They didn't seem to know what they were doing though.

Are the pinion measurements on the housings of the 12 bolt and 10 bolt the same by any chance?

Or, will my 12 bolt yoke even fit the 10 bolt!!!! Im reading that the 12 bolt is 30 splines and the 10 was 28 spline up until 88!

The seal doesn't ride on the pinion shaft, it ride on the yoke.

Also, I counted the splines on my 10 bolt pinion and my 12 bolt yoke, and while both have 30 splines the yoke will NOT slide on the pinion shaft. So looks like I'm buying another yoke anyway
