Need to lift the front of my '88 Suburban R10 2wd back up a little

Just dropped the burb w/ Mcgaughy's 2.5" spindles and 2" springs. Sitting kind of low, bottoms out fairly often. Think I'm going to put two new shocks on tomorrow, but think I should go ahead and put a coil spring isolator in to lift it about .5". Thoughts on this and shocks? Where can I find this isolator local (trying to get it done tomorrow.

I personally love how it sits now. I wouldn't raise it up. I would find a good nitro shock and if you're running stock bump stops remove them for a lower profile aftermarket bump stop.

however, if you do really want to put the coil spring spacers in.... I just happened to be in an auto zone the other day buying u bolts to flip the axle and lift my camper to sit level with my k5 and right in that section I saw those coil spring isolators. they made me laugh. I haven't seen them in years and there they were.

What about air bags from AirLift? I'm not sure if these will fit with the lowered coils, but I used these in two the the 2WD 3/4 tons I've had to raise them up about 2" to clear bigger tires. The nice thing is you shouldn't have to tear the front end apart to put them in and they're adjustable. I ran the air hose fittings into the front bumper and used them as license plate bolts. They're about $90.

I wish I would've! No ****....


I did pick up some Monroe Gas-Matic LT shocks from advance. Had a $20off and 20% off coupons. Ended up paying $31 for the pair. Drove it about 10miles after, never scrubbed. Looks like I'm in the clear with no spring isolators. And she rides perfect!
At the shop getting front aligned now.
