Hey everyone. Need some advice/recommendation here. I’m doing my build https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/1974-chevrolet-c10-stepside-build.26504/page-6#post-517809 and would like to know what tire recommendation I can run. I’m doing a 5.5” front, 7” rear drop w/ C-notch on the suspension. I currently purchased and will run (15x8) up front & (15x10) in rear for rim size. What sizes of BF Goodrich T/A radials do I run to tuck and fit correctly?

Thanks for help

295/50 on the rear. A 225 or 235/60 would work on the front, but a 7" rim would look better, imho.

Yeah. I already bought the rims, so I’m stuck with a 15x8 up front. Ok, thanks @bucket for the help.

There was an active member here for a long time @J Knight that had a similar stance to his truck with the 295's on rallies out back and it looked great. I don't remember the front tire size, but they were 6" wide anyway.

(15x8) 245-60-15 (15x10) 295-50-15 this keeps the front and rear the same diameter and matches the wheel width.

was lowered when i got it i think it's only 2.5 front and 3? in the rear drop. wheel offset will affect how they tuck.

That was going to be my next question. With a (295/50/15) in rear & a (235/60/15) up front setup, what gearing should I run for around town driving and occasional highway? I’m running a Turbo 400 transmission. What gears do people typically run with this setup?

I have a 4 speed with 3.73 gears 275 60 15 on the rear which is a 28" tire
around town and stoplight to stoplight driving is awesome and occasional highway is ok a little low for me at 60 mph it runs about 2800 rpm's
if I did more highway driving I would probably go 3.42

What are you using to lower your front end? On my 87 15” stock rallies won’t fit with the 2.5 drop spindles and 2” drop spring. The wheel rubs on the caliper but only in one small section of the wheel, as if there is gunk build up on the inside of the wheel or it’s out of round. I haven’t driven on them yet just verified when I finished installing the front suspension.

Well I wanted to do a 5.5/7” drop and C-Notch the rear, but now you got me thinking if this tire/wheel choice I chose will tuck in?
