Could be a valve is stuck open causing the loss of compression, if a valve is stuck open on that cylinder then give it a tap with a hammer, it`ll probably snap shut. Also, if there has been that much fuel passing through the cylinders, the compression will likely not be up to what it could be. Get the engine to running and change the oil immediately, there will be a lot of gas in the oil and can cause the engine to seem like it is running rich when in fact it is the gas, clinging to the cylinder walls and components that is making it run rich.
Burning that rich will more than likely be the O2 sensor.
Have You checked the dist. cap and rotor. If there is an blackish carbon looking stuff built up on the rotor and inside of the cap then replace the plug wires too.
I use Delco when I can get it, I have tried the "Standard" parts and they seemd of a good quality and they lasted, IE, the plug wires, dist, cap and rotor.
