The orange box. Just says Delco on it.

The truck is a 1983 K5 Blazer. It originally was a 6.2/700r4.

I was thinking Throttle Position switch or something for the glow plugs, etc. something diesel specific.

The brown box next to it is the chime module I added.

Does it have cruise control?

Originally it did. I know on the gas motors it was vacuum actuated. All that’s been removed. Is this part of that for the 6.2?

The size and bracket look like a cruise control module to me. I'm used to them being black, but I can't say I know what a 6.2L glow plug controller looks like.

That's a glow plug controller card box. Got one on my 6.2 diesel blazer, except mine is black

I’ve been calling it orange box too.

I wonder if the harness for it is an add on or is it part of the main harness.

It appears most vehicle specific, stuff is separate. K5 rear dome light plugs into the front of the fuse block. 4wd shifter light plugs in the front.

Maybe when I install Dakota Digital I can remove the orange box and the harness.

That could save me like 15.5oz of weight. Gotta get those mpg’s up.
