But finding a manual trans burb is like finding a first gen GM CD player that actually works...

I recently found a K20 454 4-spd Burb. Unfortunately I had just purchased my C20 earlier in the week. Checked back a couple of weeks later and it was gone. Rust not too bad. Great interior. $1200. Damnit

I know what you mean. I've got one out of a 94 and I know I can make some change selling it, but I've been holding on to it just because. It's 2wd, but easily converted to 4x4 if I need to and that's what I'd hope to intend to do with it someday. 454/4l80-E and 4.56 gears all along with cruizin on the freeway at 75 without the motor screaming and beggin for mercy.

Mine was FREE too out of a truck that was impounded broke down on the side of the road with a bad motor. Had it for over 6 months, bossman finally decided to take it over the scales. I snatched the trans.

the 4x4 4l80 has a 3'' tailshaft the 2 wheel drive is to long

if its the full splined one it can be cut down but if its not you will need the 3'' 4x4 shaft

i am adapting a 205 to a 4l80 for my crew cab using a 3'' 4x4 output and a turbo 400 205 race track pattern adapter and t case.

i need to swap the 205 input from the short input to the long one.
and the indexing ring on the t case adapter needs to be cut down a little bit to mate up to the 4l80

you can get a 4x4 t case adapter for the 4l80 and i am pretty sure the 90's 241 t case wouold bolt up maybe a 208 but you would need the 3'' output shaft
What are you planning to do for a vss signal? A racetrack 205 will be a fear driven Speedo, and the trans won't function properly without vss.
