Thanks all!

Actually I wasn’t wanting the trim…however after seeing it without, I think it almost needs trim..otherwise it looks like a big blob?
IMO trim has to be on when it's single color. With two colors and some pin stripe lines it looks ok without. I prefer trim, it just looks cool and adds detail.

I would be plenty happy with just a pinstripe kit. The only trim I'll keep is the 70's two tone trim.

That trim is by far and away the best package GM ever put on a square body! Now I’m thinking no trim..?!

With that being said, if I don’t put trim on it does anyone have any good ideas to cover those holes…aside from going back to the body shop!?

Only way I know is some kind of rubber/plastic plug, but that wouldn't look great. Might have to run trim or get some kind of emblem you'd want to put there.

Could do a small led clearance light? That's what I was going to do. Otherwise back to the body shop, but that's a small feature for a lot more work and money. I don't have to worry about paint quite yet though lol

Original 1980s lower GM side moldings were sold by the individual PN#. Each PN# was a seperate location on the vehicle and all the wheel opening trim had that 50 degree cut at and angle and the ends were factory sealed. The original GM trim had metal clips with a single pin that aligned with those small holes, it aided in installation and alignment on the assembly lines. I guess as an added bonus it did help those sharp, angled cuts from lifting away from the body. The individual PN# has been long phased out of GM inventory. Pieces of them can still be found time to time online though. I just bought original left front fender and right rear beside Silverado peel and sticks last year.

Now in your case. Use a small plastic push-pin there under the aftermarket, new peel and stick molding, or maybe add the 2000s GM "mark of excellence" square to hide it (without trim). This chrome "GM" square came in large and small sizes too.
