Mystery Bracket Under Dash

I can't remember what this bracket is for/what plugs into it??? I've circled the part that is in question.

I believe it is for the cruise control switch that holds the pedal in place once you set cruise

Pretty sure it's for the cruise control module. It doesn't actually physically hold the pedal in place but is the electronic module mounting spot IIRC. throttle on an '84 would be held by a vacuum servo on the firewall side of the carb next to the distributor.

Seems like the key buzzer and and a couple of other things were attached to that on my blazer but they're all gone now.

If equipped, a manual throttle controller also bolts to that bracket.

That bracket is for the transmission kick down switch if your truck had a Turbo 400.

on my '86 C10 that is the bracket that is related to the "convenience center". it may also have double duty as the bracket for the CC too.

That’s exactly what it is. Just took all that apart on mine a short time ago.
