Nothing, unless you need to run an AIR pump, then there is no provision for it.

The air pump is the smog pump for passing emissions

oh, ok i see now. so it should just bolt up even though theres only two holes on the passenger side head?

When it warms up a little more and i have time im gonna pull everything off and figure out how much it will be to get my a/c lines converted :hidesbehindsofa:

You wont need to change the AC lines if you use the vortec serp set up.

Yeah, as mentioned above, the block usually isn't an issue. I guess my brother just had a bastard block or something, because the 2 lower bolt holes on the driver's side of the engine weren't tapped. Other than that, it has been bolt on, minus rerouting some crappy lines the PO ran for the transmission.

I should add, the instructions mention that if one of the cylinder head bolts doesn't fit (I think it's the inboard hole on the passenger head), that the system was tested without and no issues were noted, so you can probably leave it out. If you have an 85 head though, it's probably tapped.

I just looked on mine and the passenger head is only drilled on the outer part of the head. So only one bolt will be in the passenger side head and one down by the fuel pump. Did you buy a gm setup and the instructions said it was tested without issues with only one bolt in the head?

It was the GM kit, yep. I'll double check the instructions again and verify for you.

You wont need to change the AC lines if you use the vortec serp set up.

I found out earlier today that the '96-up lines have metric threaded hose ends. Custom AC lines would be in order for using the vortec setup.

do any of these swaps maintain the smog pump? or is that eliminated?

Unfortunately i'm held to emissions.

The 92 pass side bracket has the smog pump mount.

no adapters? Id rather use the vortec setup so im not running new hoses. But if this needs re-ran regardless (either because of the alternator/compressor swap or the metric threads) I would rather use a system that allows for a larger compressor. So the vortec correct? 96-98

what changed in 99 on the GMT400? Im at work looking at one right now and it looks the same

old bump,

what did you guys decide for A/C Lines? I got brackets from an 1990 and just need to run the lines for the compressor. do any of the GMT400 lines work with an 87 drier and condenser?
