Nope. Just a 454 and th400...for now. The tt427 is am old screen name. Had big dreams of turbos on my 84 trans am 427/th375/3.73 car. But tt632 has a certain ring to it that i like!

For sure. But the short stroke of a 427 is more conducive to rpm. Unless you build a long rod 632 less rod lay over that way.

Agreed but the factory tall decks had standard rod with big clubs at the end, all I was say was using the longest possible rod is key.

That too is fact. Always go longest rod possible, especially in longer stroked stoker kits. Longer the rod, the less busy it is.

That happens to be another one of the drawbacks to a SBC400 I never liked. That shorter rod for the longer stroke. That's 1 busy rod and it don't like higher rpms. I loved my little small journal 327. Talk about some rpms. I spanked many 350 and SBC400 guys with that little spinnin' motor. 2 bolt main even, 8000 rpm was no issues, it wasn't making big power by then, but it would sure spin it. Made good power to about 7200 rpm with a .525 lift and .305 advertised duration IIRC.

The GMC Burb looks really good! It looks like it's in good shape cosmetically, too. When I got mine, the grille looked a lot like that, but I found the right colors and spruced it up real nice in about three stages. It was Krylon 1403 (Dull Aluminum) for the outside, matte black for the louvers, and Rustoleum "Lobster Red" for the GMC letters.
