My first complete SBC 350 build

Hey Everybody! I wanted to share a mild engine build I am doing. I scored a never-bored 350 4 bolt main from my machinist. Since I wont be driving the truck much, I decided I was going to build it to run on premium. Right now the block is being bored .040 over with flat tops. I got Vortec 175cc/64CC heads from Summit Racing. A Comp Cams CL12-239-3 4x4 cam and lifter kit. Summit Dual Plane Intake Manifold, 1.5 self aligning rocker arms, Edelbrock 1406 (maybe too small, its reuse carb lol) Heddman 1 5/8 headers, and a Summit High Volume water pump. I am hoping to see 400ftlb out of it. Thanks for all the projects posted to help keep me going!

Sounds like your CR will wind up around 11:1. Definitely will need 91-93 gas. I don't see any reason that you would need a bigger carb. It would probably be a detriment.

Just trying to get a better idea of what you're doing and what you're working with.
You say a never bored 350 and you decided to bore it .040", how many miles did this motor have on it when you got it? And it was out of a what? What did the cylinders mic at before you bored it? What kind of pistons are you putting into it? Pop ups? And your id says you have a '87 V10, is that what it's going into?
