Wouldnt the spirit of 76 be an option on the spid or was it like a triming add on at a dealer?

78C10BIG TEN. I would think that also? Only the 26E option kind of shows that? What I was told by the previous owner. He took the truck to the Goodguys Car Show last year, Nov. 2012. He said the guys from Squarebody Syndicate where at the show. They told him they would for free, authenticate and appraise the truck, but wouldn't get any paperwork for this free assessment. Squarebody Syndicate is in Phoenix Az. I'm going to ask them what it will cost for that information? They were blow away by this truck! Also said how the Spirit of 76 Logo looked on box sides of this truck. Even said how many Chevys and GMC in 1976 where maid. Even said the name Royal Sierra was made up towards the end of the year to try to boost the sale of their trucks. Before the next year trucks came in. That's one of the parts I enjoys about this hobby. Finding out the past history of the truck. I'm sure those Spirit of 76 door panel emblems is hard to come by.

Scott, your truck is one of only 500 produced. I hope you restore it and return it to it’s original White !

Hi FireTruck1984.
Thanks a bunch. Liked those pictures!!! The seller also told me, out of the 500 GM Bicentennial trucks made in 1976. 400 were Chevys and 100 were GMC. Also said the GMC truck had a different exterior paint scheme. The interiors were the same? My goal at this time is getting it long trip worthy. Plan on keeping it mostly stock/original. Not going to touch the exterior paint until I finish me 76 K5. This truck is going to be a Great reference in putting back my Blazer. Then pull the motor, Freshen it up. Paint it back to Frost white, engine compartment/exterior. Also paint the door panels white etc.

I have been spending time on my 76 GMC. Getting to know it. Everything I touch I end up cleaning and painting/powder coating. Still has its coil over shocks. Also has the 56" long leaf springs. Like the Chevy Heavy Half has. I'm going to lower it a bit, 2/4 or 3/5. Found a set of GMC Rally wheels. Rebuilt the Q-Jet carb. All New factory style brake system. All new suspension and steering components. Replaced all fluids, Cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires, Water pump, t-stat, all hoses, belts, and replace the leaking gaskets. New 2 1/2" dual exhaust system soon. Next will be the interior. her are a few pictures.
