Murdered out? Too common now?

I think completely blacked out, satin or otherwise is a bit of a cop-out and does kinda cheapen it.

If you were to black out the chrome, make sure and sand/prep it good... because paint and chrome don't mix well in the long run. Perhaps powdercoating?

I like a nice satin (two stage paint or a black base with a satin 'flattening' clearcoat for protection. I had a Volvo 240 that I did up with the two stage satin black (no clear) and it cleaned up pretty well. Didn't scratch, fade, or anything... though I was sure to be careful with it. (always washed by hand or touchless automatic car washes. I did a contrasting Candy Marble Red with some carbon fiber accents though... I do agree that some contrast is good.

I like black with gunmetal and brushed aluminum or machined finish instead of chrome....
Search "Mob Steel".... custom lincoln's and more from Detroit. They have the murdered look squared away.

I dig the all-black look, and have never liked chrome on anything I've owned. That being said the details are what really sets it apart from the cheap-o spray bomb look. A little bit of red accent in the grill, on the emblems, some old-school pinstripes really set the look off.

Just saw this one on Facebook.... pretty sweet. Lots of prep work went into that paint to get it that smooth.

Great work and nicely executed. Just doesn't get me excited.

Yea, I do agree guys. As far as "murdered out" this one is pretty nice, but I myself would prefer some contrast. Some red accents, perhaps some brushed aluminum or gunmetal rims.

A blacked out pair

I plan on blacking out my 89R3500 and powdercoat the steel dually wheels red.
I think it would look awesome as its towing my street/strip car of race days!

Normally, I don't go for blondes, but she's the best looking one there.

Grand Nationals and T-Types came like that so its hard to see them any other way.
