The truck I am currently working on still has the original mufflers (matter of fact everything is original except the hangers).
The mufflers look like hell:

These mufflers are still available from GM dealers for huge $$. Nalley for example lists them for $677.05.

So, as much as I think they are the best muffler available - for that kind of money, mine were going to stay.
Even though they look bad they are still intact.
Then today I found one each at two different places ( each place only had one left in stock).
Got one for $379 and the other for $239.
