I'm reposting this from where I saw it on GMT400.com. My CCLB would be perfect for this...if I had relatives in the area or a smaller travel trailer to stay in for the week!
The pay for extras and use of vehicle is good but they don't cover travel or lodging expenses.
They are looking for "old farm trucks, used, not restored, from the '70s to early 2000s".
More details from the link.....

Compensation is a bit light at $10hr plus $50 for the truck. Less than $200 for you and the truck for 12 hours.
Getting free money and free food just to have you and your truck in a film isn't a bad gig. I've worked on movie sets a couple of times and they pay well and feed you well, too. One of them was laying down sheets of heavy duty foil across the road and tacking them down to the asphalt with nail guns. It was cold cold cold that night, but easy work. The next morning after they shot their shots we pulled up all the nails and foil, drove up to get our money, and got paid in cash and there were tables of food. Anything you wanted. Of course I went for the breakfast burrito...lol...

The one's that really have it made are the local girls, they get paid to work and get laid by the workers, and then when it's all said and done everyone goes their separate ways. Saw that numerous times when filming operations came to town.

The commitment is for a week, and I think the truck fee is $50 per day. And being on a movie set, you should be fed. If I'd had a couple weeks notice on this, I'd have gone for it. Biggest problems for me are that it's a two day drive from Houston, to do it in a truck with no AC, and finding a place to stay for the time up there. If I had a small travel trailer, that would take care of one of those problems....

I got to be an extra in the Friday Night Lights movie, which was based on and filmed in my hometown. All the game scenes were filmed at night, so you could go a little before sunset, they would dress you if needed (I had to wear a band uniform from the other high school, others had to trade in their high school jackets for the proper school's jacket that game, etc) and you hung out in the stands all night. They might tell everyone to cheer at certain points, but mostly it was just goofing around for most of the night. Pay was something like $150/day +extra fee for nights +more if you were actually high school age appearing. Pretty sure it ended up being close to $250/night when I went, and plenty of food and hot chocolate (didn't drink coffee back then).

I missed all this. I'm sure it had to be for the new Twister movie. I hear filming is now done and it's into production and editing now. Supposed to be better than the first one. I seen a couple of my peeps on FB were there for filming and supposed to be background extras, and 1 of them was excited because they got to say something, a short 1 liner, something like, How are you, as they walked by someone and that was it. May or may not be used, all depends on the editing but they wanted the clip. He had to do it twice cuz of the scene and somoene else fuct something up so they did a take 2.

Interesting, I wondered at the time, if it was for that, because of the way they worded some of the requests.
If I had had more advance notice, I would've tried to get in on it. I wasn't working then, and neither was my brother. He actually has certification for digital media from Houston Community College, and has experience on both sides of the camera in indie films here. But my crew cab would have fit their requirements perfectly, except for the Texas plates....but that's what prop department is for!
But ....I had a couple of days' notice and that was not enough to try to see what relatives I still have in Oklahoma (last up there in 2011 and some of the folks we saw/stayed with are gone). Would've needed a place to stay until the movie $$ came in, cause we were rather broke at the time and the gas to get there prolly woulda cost most of what we had.

I might have tried to get my 84 in there had I known about it. It looks like an old farm truck.
