Does anyone know if the above referenced EEPROM will correct the removal of the EGR? Also if it does anything at all besides giving you the option to just tell someone "Yeah! It's got a chip in it!(with my best hillbilly accent with a *** of beechnut in the lip wearing a pair of bibs)"

I wouldn’t mess with the PROM unless I did major upgrades: cam, heads, etc. That one size fits all mentality the website has, no mention of a guarantee because PROM modifications aren’t always a one shot deal, and the 160* thermostat seriously turn me off. If you just want EGR written out of it, you can call TBI chips and see what they can do. That’s just one parameter so they could probably do that in one shot without screwing up your truck. In the event that something is wrong, other members on here speak well of their record of standing by their product. @Daveo91Burb

I have a Harris chip in mine *spitoon sound*

Brian was very helpful with questions and is very knowledgable. Just looked as site though and it looks like he's putting TBI stuff on the back burner but its still an option.

No, I’ve been too scared to do it on something I care about without a spare OEM PROM. I don’t have the little gizmo either, by the way. Just the TunerProRT and cable for monitoring/logging.

do the zf chip swap, the results are much better and cheaper than trying to burn oem style chips.

yes, but it doesnt require some stupid UV machine to erase the chips and you can buy the chips for $5
