cleaned about 10lbs of mud out of the truck... the floor mats were rotted. i was going to EVA SOUND DEADENER KIT-2PC and HEAT SHIELD KIT-2PC from LMC and replace the one piece rubber mat. the floor pans look pretty good.. prob just buff the rust off and spray etching primer before the new mats.

next is electrical.. looks like a badger got under the dash and under the rear bumper towing harness.. lol.

Yep, I'd just wet sand that truck and paint it with 2 or 3 coats of clear and leave it alone. Great Patina truck. And it got a bolt in hump too. My 85 and 86 don't have that.

That is a great looking truck. Nice to see one of that age, that isn't swiss cheese. Looks like you got a good one.
