Yep, OLD ones,lol, that's the way I learned too wayyyy back in the day, then I talked to racers and cam MFG's and that was the end of that method,lol..

I threw them things in the trash a longgg time ago, so I'll have to say "I HAD" a set of them valve covers, lol..

I still have a set well 15 of the clip on deflectors 1 flew off never to be seen again.

LOL, been there done that too, except I had more than one fly off but when one almost hit me in the eye with hot oil, well you can guess what happened to them things..

I didn't have a set, I just had one for SBC. Adjusted one side at a time. I remember the day I bolted it on after doing a cam swap and ended up having to take it off and cut a little more off the valve cover. The high lift cam was pushing the rockers up high enough the rear tips were hitting the valve cover.

I found push rod pieces in my pan a few years ago. About 3" long all bent up.
