Just picked up a 86 K20, and named her Betty White. Starts and runs ok, shifts well and 4-wheel drive works... from there, pretty touch and go. I was told she was used to haul scrap and wood. Odometer says 16k, so thinking 116k. Brakes are barely there, so an oil change and then brakes. The glove box RPO sticker is gone, is there another one on the truck somewhere? If not, any suggestions? I was thinking of going to the dealer to see if they could reproduce one for me.
She actually drives out pretty nicely. I will take the winter to focus on brakes, and general tune up, none of the gauges work, was told the drivers gas tank is no operable, the drivers power window does not work, no gear indicator, radio does not get any FM stations.... she is a great foundation of a truck, looking forward to getting after everything broken.
Thanks in advance, I will be searching the forums for guidance a lot I suspect.
