I have a plow truck and Im considering running plow hydraulics mechanically off a belt rather than electric. It appears hydro-assist pumps have been used to do so. Has anyone done this and how has it worked for them? I dont have a complicated hydraulic setup, just a single upward cylinder for lift.
Also, has anyone a manual gearbox and how do they work? As in, are they difficult or pretty easy given what they are(I have a heavy front end and 4wd, unlikely to switch it to manual)
