So, I am in the middle of installing lowering shackles on the rear of my 87 GMC . But I don't see how they will fit. There is a brace running above the shackle and the leaf spring will not go any higher without hitting it. I know I am doing something wrong here, just don't know what. Anyone install these already and have pictures?? Need advice, thanks.

Pics are helpful before cutting stuff unnecessarily.

Pics? The question was very straightforward and answered correctly by 74Shortbed with an excellent picture.

Unfortunately, it's something that must be done unless you only need 2" drop and can replace the front hangers. And that really requires removing the bed. Choose your poison!

Not supplying pics of said drop constitutes "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" which will result in your arrest and incarceration with a 400lb man named Ben Dover. Just sayin.......
